The Portal

It climbs out from the yellow orb in the sky and it whispers into my ear, Don’t do it.

I recognize the conflict between my place here and the place I want to be.

I know I don’t want to be anywhere without you. And I am, yet I’m still breathing.

Miserably, but I’m still kicking.

I don’t think I need, I don’t think I need, I don’t think I need…

I don’t think.

And so the crystals and specks of dust from the orb call out to me.

They call out to me and tempt me with what might have been on the other side.

The Family of the World

In my drunken stupor I’ve come up with an analogy, and correct me if it needs correcting but this is what I’ve come up with.

Essentially the world, planet Earth, can be thought of as a literal home; four walls, a ceiling and a floor. Now, those living in such a cramped space will be forced to confront each other and differences will be settled, peacefully or violently. Either way, it will be settled. Now, the world, Earth, is so large, we just simply can’t get to each other, or we have not had the courage to get to each other, because it’s such a large populated reach. This is essentially why it’s taken to long to confront social and political issues. Like most household families, whether in an apartment or a home, the beginning of a family starts off awkward and unsure of how to deal with the differences amongst one another. Eventually, the cramped space causes the need for confrontation in order to solve or understand such differences. So the family begins to fight, begins to fall apart in the worst possible ways imaginable. Still, when all battles are fought, we begin to dissolve these differences or at the least, begin to understand that so and so sees the world differently than I do so I will respect their perspective and they will respect mine as well. Our population on this planet is so large and diverse, we have only just began to confront these issues as evident by today’s political and social issues like gender acceptance, sexuality acceptance, exposure on the realities of today’s unfair hierarchy based on wealth and status. We are confronting these issues head on now, much like the way siblings will finally come out in the open about how much they hate each other. Just know that these battles will later, if not sooner, be considered as fought and we will coexist as one large family again. We will see each other’s differences and understand that our differences are what makes our world colorful and unique. The thought of a person with something new to bring to the table will one day warm our hearts.

I hope you lovelies enjoy your morning! Wherever you are ❤️

Wubba Lubba Dubdub!!

Now, I am quite amazed at how impressively producers of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, have pulled through for fans like me who love their edgy breakaways from the system.

Yesterday, on April Fools Day, they chose to air the first episode of the new season 3 on Cartoon Network, leaving most fans skeptical and reluctant to waste their time on a cruel April Fools Day prank. What these long time anticipatory fans didn’t realize is the Rick and Morty crew had pulled the ultimate prank of the year.

Why would I go out of my way to get to a television just to find out it was a prank, of course, because it’s April Fools Day? Surely we’d get at least a week’s notice right? But the savviest twist I’ve ever seen a show do in my lifetime: premiere it with no warning or early notice, get em to think it’s a joke, then actually live broadcast it on Facebook and television for two hours, all while a fake April Fools Day video is set up for the Facebook post and the tv schedule remains saying it’s showing Bob’s Burgers. Brilliant. They saw the opportunity and they took it so hard they made it their bitch.

I truly love Rick and Morty. I love their squanch.

The official season 3 starts this Summer!

Fallback Monday Blues

It’s all fun and games playing hooky until you realize your reason for missing out on class was to catch up on some Z’s you know you don’t deserve.

But hell, I did it anyways.

College for a freshies like me can be pretty stressful. It seems like the clock ticks minutes away in groups of 20 and there’s no way to schedule every bathroom break no matter how hard you try.

There’s so much to think about. Your future, what are your teachers gonna think (especially that one professor who stuck his neck out for you when you were too dumb to keep up during lecture), will I really fall behind or is college unnecessary for me?

Although a lot of us going into college might think: Are you kidding? I left my prison of a high school just to go to grown up prison where they still force you to take certain classes?

Yeah. Yeah they do. But let’s think about the good stuff that comes from all these “Gen. Ed.” Requirements.

See, college levels courses won’t be as easy as you think. It’s not just like high school with extra reading assignments and total necessary crying. General education, from what I’ve seen, is more necessary to prepare you for the majors you’ll take in the future. Most gen education courses try to prepare you for essays and time management. No one ever said it was going to be easy and no one ever said you won’t fall into some debt here and there (possibly starve, never shower, tend to forget you never shower and rely on part cake flavored ice cream to get you through the days)

But you know what.

Missing a day or two? Fuck it. That’s fine. No machine can work well on low maintenance. Go get yourself a face mask and slather that shit on. Even some cucumbers, go all out.

Because if there’s one thing I do know, it’s that no one stays a brainiac and we might have a fall out here and then, but that’s okay because we need to take care of our mental health before we can go back to grinding out all these big kid papers. So take that day off. Revitalize those senses then go back to being that productive young adult you know you can be. I’m sure it’ll be worth it when you get walk across that stage with a big fuck you to all your doubters.

Much love on this Monday ❤️ Talk to you later…bye 🙂

I barely feel the world get by on its own. It’s encompassed by its own stagnant cycle; keeping itself on a steady yet still continuation of all life forms.

Slowly they continue on without the intention to prosper.

They make unconscious decision while the world also makes its own unconscious decision to move selective species forward.

In what seems like pure coincidence comes to what now looks like an intentioned benevolent gift.

The world must have someone to give and share its wonders to, just as much as we have much to give to the world.

Indiscriminately focused on keeping the wheels turning, we forget the machine we’re turning the wheels for.

Cursed with the need for knowledge and expansion.

So much that we might even die for it.

So much that we might even kill for it.

The atoms that mend the fabric of space and time, the atoms that hold together my skin will fall apart at any moment.

The ground beneath me will crumple away into nothingness.

A large blanket of nothingness through empty space.

Each and every one of us is a continuation of one consciousness.

When a life has ended, a new life begins and so proceeds the start of a new chapter in a single book that is but a single thread in a series of books.

We lead and formulate the content in chapters based on our actions.

One who writes a chapter full of misconduct doesn’t have the satisfaction of the end of it’s book.

Where we each serve as a chapter in a book, the ones who write a chapter full of misconduct will continue the series and the book will not end until the mysterious deity finds satisfaction in the original and sincere choice of words.

My book has yet to be finished.

Perhaps it hasn’t started yet.

For the ‘Less in Touch With the Feminists’ Women

You are a girl.

The youngest actually

And you’ve got two older brothers.

All your life you’ve grown up tough. You were taught to walk proudly, to play hard with the boys, to speak hard like the boys, to suppress sentiment like the boys.

Perhaps you’ve been living a lie because the girls around you spew statements about not having a chance to play ball with the boys or never feeling like they’re taken seriously by the opposite sex. And now you can’t relate and you feel like the douchebag for being so privileged as to be seen as “one of the guys”. But are you really? Have you become the enemy of your own sex?

But you see it.

You do see the struggle of your kind. You hear their gagged screams in your deepest nightmares and you’re so helpless you almost try to vomit out the evil you’ve seen reflected through that poor girl’s eyes.

You know you want to help.

You try to support your girls because you know what it’s like to feel eyes of the opposite sex latched onto your body like leeches that suck everything out of you; your self-worth, your hopes, dreams, your confidence in others. With a ‘Like’ here and a ‘Share’ there. Share, share, share. She has a good point about this, he’s got a good point about that. “The solution is..” the first, second, and the third.

You’re still helpless.

You’re hiding. You’re not helping, only giving ammo to those who will stand up and fight but you’re so pathetic. “Why can’t I do this?” “Why can’t I speak?” “Why can’t I breathe?” “Where are the words I want to so desperately spit out to the evils of the world?”

I am so sorry you feel this way, because I feel this way too.

Cursed with the need for knowledge and expansion, we lose focus of the broken pipes of our souls. Who we are as people, who govern this political world, are broken and such change cannot occur without looking within oneself…to oil the cogs and wheels before all of humanity is lost. Before we’re driven to an insanity that is beyond repair.

If I could be the oil, if you could be the oil…

An exhausted mind exposes an honest heart.

He was going to take a shower,

But he changed his mind..

He was going to take me out to the porch with him,

But he changed his mind..

I was given a second chance

I shouldn’t be here,

But I am..

To that, I concluded,

“I shouldn’t waste this.”

You’re a Work of Art

Why do you creep into my dreams?

You’re only a friend

I’ve only ever talked to you

And felt warmth by you

And loved you

So why do you walk slowly in my peripheral vision?

So why do you say nothing?

So why do you vanish when I flash a look at you?

Why do you creep into my dreams?
